ओपेक क्या है – What is OPEC?

ओपेक OPEC का Full Form पेट्रोलियम निर्यातक देशों का संगठन होता है . पेट्रोलियम निर्यातक देशों का संगठन (OPEC) एक समूह है जिसमें दुनिया के प्रमुख तेल निर्यातक देशों में से 14 शामिल हैं। OPEC ईरान, इराक, कुवैत, सऊदी अरब और वेनेजुएला द्वारा सितंबर, 1960 को बगदाद सम्मेलन में बनाया गया एक स्थायी, अंतर सरकारी संगठन है।

ओपेक का मुख्यालय अपने अस्तित्व के पहले पांच वर्षों में जिनेवा, स्विट्जरलैंड में था, यह 1 सितंबर, 1965 को वियना, ऑस्ट्रिया में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया था। ओपेक का उद्देश्य पेट्रोलियम उत्पादकों के लिए उचित और स्थिर कीमतों को सुरक्षित करने के लिए, सदस्य देशों के बीच पेट्रोलियम नीतियों का समन्वय और एकीकरण करना है;

उपभोक्ता राष्ट्रों को पेट्रोलियम की एक कुशल, आर्थिक और नियमित आपूर्ति; और उद्योग में निवेश करने वालों के लिए पूंजी पर एक उचित रिटर्न। ओपेक के गठन ने प्राकृतिक संसाधनों पर राष्ट्रीय संप्रभुता की ओर एक महत्वपूर्ण मोड़ दिया, और ओपेक के फैसले वैश्विक तेल बाजार और अंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंधों में एक प्रमुख भूमिका निभाते आए हैं। प्रभाव विशेष रूप से मजबूत हो सकता है जब युद्ध या नागरिक विकार आपूर्ति में विस्तारित रुकावट पैदा करते हैं।
